betaGel™ is designed for use on individual blemishes or larger problem areas. A fusion of spot-fighting actives include salicylic acid for its exfoliating ability; sloughing away dead surface skin and penetrating deep inside the pores. Soothing niacinamide boasts powerful anti-inflammatory properties to reduce the unwanted and sometimes painful redness associated with acne and spot breakouts. Azelaic acid possesses an effective decongesting function, also working in conjunction with niacinamide to soothe irritation.
betaRecovery™ works in conjunction with betaGel™. A potent targeted treatment for overnight application, designed for skin emergencies to eliminate breakouts rapidly. Kaolin detoxifies the pores by extracting excess sebum and unwanted grease from the skin where it can be washed away. Mandelic acid offers effective yet gentle exfoliation, whilst beta-glucan stimulates immunity against bacteria and consequently increases the skin’s wound-healing ability.
betaGel™ - In the morning and/or evening after cleansing, dispense an adequate amount of betaGel™ onto a clean finger (one drop should cover one blemish). Gently apply betaGel™ onto the blemish, rubbing in carefully to maximise penetration. Alternatively it can be applied to the entire face for a complete spot-fighting treatment, which can cause some localised stinging. Wait a few minutes for betaGel™ to dry before applying a Medik8 antioxidant serum and follow with a Medik8 hydrator.
betaRecovery™ - In the evening after cleansing, apply a liberal layer of the betaRecovery™ to blemishes or problem areas with a clean finger. Allow to dry. If required, apply a further layer. Do not touch the area. Avoiding the treated area, follow with the application of your usual Medik8 Correct product and the appropriate Medik8 hydrator. The next morning, wash off with water and follow with your usual Medik8 cleanser. Look for other products in the Medik8 beta range.
Precautions - Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water. If skin dryness or irritation occurs, reduce usage to every other day. If irritation persists, cease use and contact a skincare professional or your GP.
